Preposiciones de lugar: indican dónde está algo o alguien. Las tres básicas son in (dentro), on (sobre una superficie) y at (en un punto concreto). En español todas pueden traducirse como "en".

Con calles: on Bolívar Avenue (sin número), at 25 Bolívar Avenue (con número). En inglés británico también se dice in Oxford Street.

Pares que se confunden
in front of vs. opposite
In front of = delante, del mismo lado. Opposite = enfrente, al otro lado de la calle. "Enfrente" en español casi siempre es opposite.
The bank is opposite the hotel.
El banco está enfrente del hotel.
above vs. over
Above = más arriba. Over = encima y cubriendo, o de un lado a otro.
A bridge over the river.
Un puente sobre el río.
below vs. under
Below = más abajo en un nivel. Under = directamente debajo, cubierto.
The keys are under the sofa.
Las llaves están debajo del sofá.
between vs. among
Between = entre dos cosas claramente separadas. Among = en medio de un grupo.
I found it among my papers.
Lo encontré entre mis papeles.
