Linking adverbs: son conectores que unen dos oraciones completas y muestran cómo se relacionan: suma, contraste, consecuencia o ejemplo. Son clave para escribir correos, ensayos y exámenes como el IELTS o el Cambridge.
1 · Concepto
Conjunción o linking adverb
Una conjunción une dos ideas dentro de la misma oración: It was late, but we stayed. Un linking adverb une dos oraciones separadas, y por eso va después de un punto o de un punto y coma: It was late. However, we stayed.
Muchos tienen un equivalente más informal: so → therefore, but → however, also → moreover. Elegir bien el conector es una de las formas más rápidas de subir el nivel de tu escritura.
The course is intensive. However, it is very flexible.
El curso es intensivo. Sin embargo, es muy flexible.
He missed three classes; therefore, he had to repeat the module.
Faltó a tres clases; por lo tanto, tuvo que repetir el módulo.

Actually no significa "actualmente" sino "en realidad". Actualmente se dice currently, nowadays o at present.
