Tag questions: son las pequeñas preguntas que se agregan al final de una oración para confirmar algo, como "¿verdad?" o "¿no?" en español. You're from Caracas, aren't you?
1 · Forma
La regla básica
La tag repite el auxiliar de la oración (be, do, have, can, will…) con el pronombre del sujeto. Si la oración no tiene auxiliar, se usa do / does / did.

Palabras negativas → tag afirmativa
Nobody, nothing, never, hardly ya hacen negativa la oración. Con nobody / everyone, el pronombre es they.

No llamó nadie, ¿verdad?
You never listen, do you?
Nunca escuchas, ¿verdad?
There is → isn't there?
There's a meeting today, isn't there?
Hay reunión hoy, ¿no?
La entonación cambia el sentido
Si la voz sube al final, es una pregunta real. Si baja, solo pides confirmación de algo que ya crees.
It's Monday, isn't it? ↗ / ↘
¿Es lunes? / Es lunes, ¿verdad?
